Ecology Action Center (EAC)
EAC's page includes a searchable library containing close to 10,000 catalogued items. The information is in various forms, including: books, government documents, brochures, newspaper clippings, periodicals and newsletters, pesticide permits, video and audio tapes, and environmental assessment materials. A search on mercury brought up several useful factsheets.

International Joint Commission Health Professionals Task Force
Brief summaries of the scientific literature on human health effects and environmental pollutants with an emphasis on pollutants within the Great Lakes ecosystem.

Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ)
LDEQ has written a summary of issues related to mercury contamination of fish. This page is Louisiana oriented, but it has a good overview of the sources of mercury contamination and the health risks associated with elevated mercury levels.

Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)
Massachusetts DEP has posted all of its publications and information on mercury to its site, including the reports "Mercury in Massachusetts: An Evaluation of Sources" and "Fish Mercury Distribution in Massachusetts Lakes - Final Report."

The Mercury Amalgam-Related Illness Site
While this site focuses on dental amalgams it also information on other sources of mercury exposure and a very comprehensive description of health risks from mercury contamination.

The Mercury Deposition Network (MDN)
MDN, a subnetwork of The National Atmospheric Deposition Program, is developing a regional database on the weekly concentrations of total mercury in precipitation and the seasonal and annual flux of total mercury in wet deposition. MDN produced some very nice Transition Phase Summary Charts which show the preliminary results of their data collection.

The Mercury Page
This individual's mercury page in Sweden has information on many aspects of mercury. It contains many links to mercury studies and information on the web.

Mercury Research Page
This page has links to several environmental mercury studies and mercury sites. While not an exhaustive list, this page is a good starting point for connecting to basic mercury information.

Right to Know Network
This site provides access to numerous quantitative databases, including the Toxic Release Inventory and offers information on toxic releases, housing and the environment.

Sea Grant Media Center
Links to scientists working in the field of heavy metal environmental contamination and public health.

University of Minnesota Mercury Research Program
Dr. Ed Nater's page discusses his diverse mercury projects, which span the terrestrial, aquatic, and atmospheric realms. Basic mercury information as well as the technical findings of his projects is included in this site.

University of North Dakota - Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC)
Their Center for Air Toxic Metals (CATM) has downloadable databases on air toxics, and the EERC has multiple reports on the environmental impacts of energy usage.
